There are just a few simple steps to getting up and running – and generating referral fees – TODAY!
1. Pay Your Annual Compliance Fee (This let’s us take care of all the legal stuff with the state, get you up to date in our system, etc.)
2. Send in your information (We’ll need to change your license over, get your W9 so we can pay you, etc.)
3. Review our Marketing Tips Worksheet and start referring business!
It’s simple! All you need to is click the Sign Up Now link above. You’ll immediately get access to the necessary paperwork. We’ll take care of the rest!
There are two options: (1) you have an agent you want to refer your customer to or (2) you need assistance in locating an agent for your customer.
If you already have an agent, all you need to do is fill out the referral information form (and get it signed by the referral agent and yourself).
If you need assistance in locating an agent, we’ll simply need the signed referral form on your end and then your customer information including the customer’s contact
information, areas of interest, type of property, price range, and any other information to find the best fit.
When the real estate transaction closes, the destination office will pay Relative Investments a referral fee from the gross commission. Relative Investments, Inc. will
receive the referral fee, generally within 10 business days of closing. The referral check is then processed within 1 business day and sent to you. (We can even transfer
via Paypal if you want it immediately!)
At the end of the year, you’ll receive a 1099 for all of your referral fees.
Not at all! Relative Investments Referral program was created for people JUST LIKE YOU!. Many of our referral agents have either retired, have part time jobs,
or even full time careers, but want to generate referrals through personal and business contacts.
Absolutely! As long as you have a binding referral agreement with the agent on the other side of the transaction.
Unfortunately, Relative Investments Referral Associates are not eligible to list or sell any property or participate in negotiating contracts or executing real
estate documents. You are, however, eligible to get a higher referral fee for your own deals.
Simply let the builder know you’d like a 30% – or whatever you can negotiate 😉 – referral fee and get a signed referral form with the builder.
No. As a referral associate, you will not join any boards or be a member of the MLS. NOTE: This means you will not have access to the MLS to search, list
or sell property.
Yes, referral associates are required to maintain your Florida real estate license in good standing at their own expense. You’ll need to meet your continuing
education requirements and stay current with DBPR.

in active status, you can live anywhere you want!
There’s no limit to how much you can earn! For example, a 25% referral of a $250,000 deal will put $1,687.50 into your pocket with virtually NO EFFORT! Do
3 of those in a year and it’s an extra $5000 in your pocket!
What’s more is that our goal is to help you refer more business so we provide you with marketing tips to help you generate leads through family, friends,
co-workers, previous clients, local business contacts, church members, and more. The opportunity is limitless!
The gross referral fee is negotiated between the referring agent and the referral agent. A good rule of thumb to use is 30% of the gross commission to that
agent. In other words, if you referred a buyer for a $250,000 home, you’d earn $1687.50 net commission.
Unfortunately not, but you can earn a referral commission. Simply ask a Realtor friend for a 60%, 70%+ referral fee and field all the calls on your own deals so
you’re essentially earning the commission.
It only takes a few minutes to get started and everything is done electronically!
Unfortunately not. You may only act as a referring agent
Depending on the length of time, it may be easy to reinstate or renew your license. If you need assistance with this, please contact us and we can check into it for you.
